Free Batteries!

At Kroger this week I found a few awesome deals! Ocean Spray juices were cheap cheap and batteries were free.... Energizer were on sale for 5/$10 and Duracell were $2.49 a piece (the Duracell ended up at .49 a four pack). Also, if you can't find the Bic Lighter Wands (I don't know what they are really called) get a raincheck. They are $2.99 and after coupons they are .99. Great for candle lighting!

Meijer - I found a ton of porduce clearance... peppers, limes, etc. for no more than a $1 per pre-packed bag. They were on a rack in the back of prduce and I hooked up!

Alright that is it.. see everyone at Softball tonight!

Grocery Store Withdrawals

I have been soo busy with work and with the planning of Good Times in Goodrich, which with the help of The Point is going to be the best year ever for! Thanks Pastor Josh!... I have not shopped yet this week still!

I am banking on everything being re-stocked by the time I get there. I actually had to write a day in my planner to shop this week... it is Friday! Kind of sad that I had to plan for shopping!

Weight Watchers

If this post appears twice.. its cause I typed it once and it apparently didn't publish, so here it is again!

I re-joined weight watchers last night. Anyone that is interested in doing the same its at Goodrich UMC on Mondays at 6:30pm... I did it before and had great success so its time to go another round and lose 20 more pounds. The great thing was that I actually got some coupons for their products, the bad thing is I have to really watch what I coupon for now... can't get all those candy or baking supplies! Cake is one of my big downfalls! Also, if Kroger would please stop sending me the fried chicken coupons for their deli, my butt and thighs would appreciate it!

Ok, well off to count points... I get 26 per day! Not too bad unless you want a milkshake:)

Wish me luck!

Ok ladies... I am up for a recipe swap! I am in need of some great recipes, especially ones that use up our stock-piled groceries!

Kroger... I went anyway

Ok so I ran out to Meijer first... only really bought produce. We are big on Vanilla yogurt with fresh berries for our desserts, so I stocked up on a few berries since they were on sale.

I ran to Kroger after and found the Ronzoni pasta was $1.99 plus used the $1.00 off coupon (doubled) and it was free pasta time!
Stocked up on more Johnson's Buddies
Purchased I can't believe its not butter, Martha White muffin mixes, the Kitten Chow (there were coupons for Free Kitten Chow in Sundays paper), Starbucks Chocolate bars, and I found Vanity Fair napkins on clearance for $1.09 and used coupons on all of the above. I had like 6 bags of stuff plus a $12.00 thing of diapers and spent a whole $16.00 at Kroger! I love coupons!

Possible Walgreen's deal for this week!

Ok, this one was pretty impressive, found it on Refund Cents and thought I would share...
I got a great email from Jennifer K in OH. She spent some time putting together a fantastic game plan for getting the most from your RR's at Walgreens. Start with $30 cash, and end up with about $40 in RR's and a bunch of free products. Also print out the block format to see where each coupon comes from. She says: "Of course, YMMV depending on which products are in stock and which coupons you have. I have figured out the items/coupons ratio and added when you have to put in fillers, and also make sure to add items to absorb the extra $0.25 for the Ecotrin coupon, so you can plan ahead."
Start with buying this:
2 Neosporins for $8
use 2 $1 printed coupons;
1 bandaid for $3, use $1 coupon;
1 Ecotrin for $2, use $2.25 coupon;
2 Got2B haircare for $10, use 2 $2 printable coupons;
1 Nivea for $5, use $1 coupon...
Your oop should be about $18, your RR will be $22.

Next, do this:
1 Rembrant, $6;
1 Ecotrin for $2, use $2.25 coupon;
2 Got2B haircare for $10, use 2 $2 printable coupons;
1 Bayer about $2.50, use $1 coupon
get 2 filler items, so you can use 3 RR, so you'll then have ...
Total, about $13.50 plus your fillers (let's say 2 for $1 tissues). Now use the $5 RR from Nivea, the $4 RR from Neo/Bandaid, and the $2 RR from Ecotrin (even though this won't produce another RR for Eco, it's a wash because the coupon is worth more than the product to begin with).
Your RR will take off about $11 and your OOP will be about $4. You will get $15.50 in RR.

Next, do this:
1 Nivea body wash for $5, use $1 printable coupon;
1 Ecotrin for $2, use $2.25 coupon;
1 Bayer about $2.50, use $1 coupon.
1 filler item (50 cents?)
Your total will be about $7. Use $6 RR from Rembrant. Your oop will be about $1.

Lastly, do this:
1 Ecotrin for $2, use $2.25 coupon;
2 Got2B haircare for $10, use 2 $2 printable coupons;
1 Bayer about $2.50, use $1 coupon,
2 fillers ($1?)
Your total will be about $9.50.
Use $5 RR from the Nivea and a $2 from the Ecotrin.
Your oop will be about $2.50 plus tax.

Your remaining RR after 4 transactions will be:
3 $5 RR from Got2B= $18
2 $6 RR from Rembrant=$12
3 $2.50 RR from Bayer=$7.50
1 $2 RR from Ecotrin= $2
which isr a total of $39.50 in RR for your to spend and you will have the following items:
4 Neosporins,
1 Bandaid,
4 Ecotrin,
6 Got2B,
2 Nivea,
3 Bayer,
1 Rembrant product.
Your OOP will be about $30, you will have all the above products and your will still have almost $40 in RR!
Yay!

Veggies this week!

I went to Meijer first and got the Green Giant Veggies 10/$10 with the 11th free... I bought 13 since that is what I had coupons for. I also purchased the pizza rolls that were 10/$10 with coupons that made them .30 each. Plus two loaves of the Arnold bread that was $1.69 and I had a $1.00 off coupon on each. Also, if you like inexpensive steaks that still taste great, they have packages that my husband found in the family packs for four steaks, large ones, for $8.00 a pack... and they were yummy on the grill. I will go back and grab more of those for the freezer!

Then off to Kroger... no sightings of the crazy lady this week! :) But I got 17 packages of the Birds Eye Steamers.. with the sales and coupons they were .30 a bag. I also grabbed six of the Eckrich smoked sausages since they worked out to $1.90 a piece and are always great to have on hand. Plus the Shredded Wheat at .18 a box... no-one really eats it at my house but at that price it will be donated!

I have a new shopping goal.... I am only buying what is the absolute best deals each week. I only spent like $45 this week total. I want to see how cheaply we can really live. I have a great stockpile going and with summer coming and a garden plus fishing and hunting seasons I may suprise myself how cheaply we can live.

James is officially off the road now... he got a new job in Pontiac so I no longer have to buy food for the truck as well. That should help my cut-back!

Hoping to save the extra cash for another vacation or something else fun!

Crazy Coupon Lady... AGAIN!

Not as exciting! I saw her today at Kroger... James was with me and I hid at the check-out so she wouldn't see me. The cashier knew exactly who it was and said she used to work at that store and was "let go". She also said there are numerous customer complaints on her. I think I am a little scared of her!

A shower curtain discounted by coupons!

So we have been remodeling our home.. first the kitchen, master bedroom, laundry room, and now a bathroom... we are almost finished and I wanted a new shower curtain.

I went to Wal-Mart today armed with a couple more of those Huggies Gentle care $5 off coupons and bought the $2.82 changing pads so that I would get my overages to pay for my new shower curtain. I am a dork, I know!

The best part is when I got home and opened the curtain a gift card for a FREE one year subscription to Better Homes and Gardens fell out!

This and the socks I got with my No Nonsense coupons a couple of weeks ago are probably my most random coupon items!

I love coupons!

Crazy Coupon Lady!

Ok so I was bummed that Kroger didn't have the Johnsonville patties... I did buy five of the links at .50 a piece.

Plus the new Bertolli coupon made the dinners only $2.98, and Eggo waffles were FREE!

Also, had a fellow couponer get very upset with me at the store... she said she teaches couponing at Holy Family in GB and wants us "out-of-town" couponers to stop shopping in Grand Blanc. She said the customer service manager told her that they would stop doubling coupons altogether if the couponers did now slow down... I think she just wants the deals for herself. She then proceeded to follow my daughter, Ashley, and I around the store seeing what deals we were getting. It was soo weird! And she kept saying "oh, I didn't see that deal" (She must not be that good at couponing then!)

The icing on the cake was when I pulled out an internet coupon and she saw it... she proceeded to tell me that those were illegal. I dismissed it. I then stopped at the Trop 50 juice. I had purchased 20 extra coupons for it on E-Bay... of course Nosy Nelly asked me where I got all the coupons. I told her E-Bay. She lost it then... She told me I was going to be arrested at the front counter when I tried to use them (they were legitimate coupons) and that I would be put in jail for Fraud... mind you my oldest daughter was listening to this crap! I was soo annoyed! I told her if I went to jail it would be my problem and not hers and walked away!

Can you believe the nerve!!!?!?!

This week at Kroger

Make sure you get the Johnsonville breakfast sausage coupon out of Sunday's paper... the sausage is on sale for 2/$5 and the coupons will double to $2.00 off 1... making it .50 a package. I know I am stocking up!

I finally have a blog!

Alright, if every other couponer has a blog than I need to as well!
