Kroger Mega Event and the rest of my shopping saga for the week :)

So we started out our weekend shopping by hitting the One Day Sale at Meijer on Saturday!

My darling husband went with me and spmehow he figured out a deal that I didn't! I was busy loading up on All detergent for $3.00-$2.00 coupons (gotta love $1 detergent) as well as cheap toilet paper and feminine care items.. while James figured out that if you bought two of any huggies, scott or kotex items that you received a $3 register reward. Well James figured out the cheapest way to get this reward was on baby wipes! I had a coupon for .50c off each one wich of course doubled, they came to only $1 each. After the reward we profited $1.00 per transaction. We then rolled the register rewards onto our cart full of one day sale items and walked out with all of our products for $10! Yay!

Sunday I went to Walgreens since I needed to use up some register rewards that were about to expire. I had ones that were $10 value so I was not letting them go unused. I tried to figure out the most creative way to use them and this is what I came up with. .. I bought a bottle of Ducolax (didn't even know what it was but I had a good coupon and a $5 rebate :) and five bottles of Tums. Came to $30 before coupons. I used coupons off of all of it plus my register rewards and it came to $2.00 and some change. I paid for it on my Flex spending card so it was pre-tax dollars for medicine. And then received two $10 register rewards back. (I only thought I was getting one so I was very happy!)

I then went back and got 3 of the packages of Huggies that were on sale for $8.99 each. Plus grabbed two chapsticks to make sure I had enough items. It came to $30 and I used coupons plus my register rewards and my total ended up being $6.13.. I paid this and I received a $5.00 register reward back from Huggies. So it was really only $1.13 oop. I love diaper deals!


Onto my Monday morning Kroger journey.... I didn't need much so I only bought what was on sale with the 10 item Mega Event! A lot of these items I needed and I had to maintain the 10 items per Mega Event so I bought 20 to ge the $10 off at the register.

Tidy Cat Cat Litter $2.68
Purina Cat Chow $4.68
Daisy sour cream $$2.29 - .55c coupon (2x) = $1.19
Coffee Mate Creamer $2.99 - $1.00 coupon = $1.99
M&Ms 2/$4 - $1 coupon (2x) = $2/2 bags
Kraft Shredded Cheese (bought 4) $1.99 each (2.98/2 - $1c off two doubled) = $1.98/2
Johnsonville smoked sausage got two packs for $2.98 after coupons
Hormel Chili worked out to .76c for every two cans (bought 6)
Wheat Thins $1.99 - $1 coupon doubled = FREE

Also, got great clearance bread there this morning as well as a sale on Weight Watchers cheese and spent $24.91 oop

Note: I would have done better and bought the Franks Red Hot to round out my 10 items instead of the sausage but it was already sold out at 6am!
